David Adams has a passion for going where the documentary story is, no matter how isolated. This is episode one of OXUS, we meet David and learn about his adventurous spirit.
OXUS: THE GEAR [EP2]
This is part two of the Indiana Jones-style adventure, which follows this renowned photojournalist and documentary maker as he journeys to the mountains of war-torn Central Asia and explores dangerous and mysterious lands through the lens of Nikon’s new D7000 camera. OXUS: KURASH [EP 3]
In this episode David takes a front row seat to watch the ancient martial art of Kurash which is all about hand-to-hand fighting. NOTE: When you hear the guy screaming, it’s because his arm is broken … really.
The whole idea of this series was to prove that the D7000 was completely capable of producing top results for a world class documentary production.
OXUS: CASPIAN [EP 4]
David continues his expedition deeper into central Asia and explains how there is evidence of radical climate change. Looking at the arid landscape as it is now it’s hard to believe that it was once the coastline of the Caspian Sea.
OXUS: ANCIENT RIVER [EP 5]
David is in search of the site of an Ancient River, the Ocus if he finds where the river used to be it could change the way we think about the history of Central Asia.
OXUS: SEARCH FOR ALEXANDRIA [EP 6]
In this final episode we follow David Adams as he tries to solve the question of whether Alexander the Great really built the 16 cities he is said to have. Only nine of these have been found and they were built before his arrival. David takes us to ruins that are being excavated in order to try and solve this profound mystery
Whilst he was exploring the harshest terrain on earth he managed to send back the footage back to Storyhead HQ, where we produced these episodes.

Our mission was to capture the heartbeat of Norfolk – from the flora, fauna, health, lifestyle, food, history and culture of the place. This project, that would form a key part the Norfolk Island Tourism re-brand, was shot on specialised camera rigs built in collaboration with Nikon Australia.
THE NORFOLK MARINE (PT 4)
The Results? This four part series which launched firstly on the News.com.au website and other sites online, that pay homage to a wonderful people, a dramatic setting and a way of life that’s a treasure to behold. NIKON PROFILE PICTURE CAMPAIGN – ON SET
You might have been too distracted by burning bacon, toast with a miraculous image of rock-star Bono, Joel’s Superman pjs or trying to spot the bee in Holly’s video to think about how we shot the shooting of this crazy stuff. Don’t worry we shot the shooting of the shooting so if you’re not too confused to hit play – do it!
RACO TVC – BEHIND THE SCENES
You can almost smell the burning lamb roast as you come behind the scenes of the latest RACO commercial. The Storyhead team did a fantastic job pulling this one together. Look out for it on air now.

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE (MCDONALDS/ TEN DIGITAL)
We hit the road for some wild adventures with So You Think You Can Dance choreographer Nacho Pop and his crew on a massive road trip from Brisbane to Sydney. We created the digital strategy, organised and conducted the tour and uploaded the 15 episodes to the website whilst on the road. We also teamed up with Ten Digital to produce a TV commercial, billboards and Promo’s.
ALEX PERRY
The Queen Mary 2 was transformed into the world’s largest floating catwalk when designer Alex Perry paraded his Autum/winter collection against the backdrop of Sydney Harbour. Taking full advantage of the luxurious surrounds, Storyhead were able to produce this PR package in style.
SELLEYS – A SIMPLE FIX
Featuring the great talent of Tara Dennis (Better Homes and Gardens Presenter), Alyssa Jane Cook (Actress) and Jean Kittson (Comedian), we produced a highly entertaining digital video series that focused on how easy it is to fix items in your home, instead of throwing them away. Great message, a fun production for the crew and another satisfied client!
BECKS TVC
The client and Beck’s customers were certainly dancing to the rhythm of this slick, energetic TVC that played out at the hottest night spots in town. It showcases a creative way of connecting brands with consumers using digital video at the point of sale.
CAROMA BATHROOMS TVC
Storyhead were commissioned to bring Caroma to television for the first time ever! The result was a moving, touching yet light concept that presented a series of poignant family moments spent in the bathroom. You’ll also love the catchy jingle and overall memorable TVC that was created to celebrate a great Australian brand.
WARATAHS’ VIDEO MAIL CAMPAIGN
As the heart-pumping, bone-crunching action & excitement of the Super 14’s season arrived Storyhead, in conjunction with VIE, put together a v-mail campaign to help the Waratahs‘ recruit club members and to really paint the town blue! This helped deliver relevant content direct to Waratahs’ fans.
WHOLESALE INVESTOR
Sonia Amoroso says in this TVC that “without risk there is no reward.” And with this mindset a magazine called Wholesale Investor was launched to find and connect investors with companies and to provide a platform for further interaction.
ERA PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT
Era is an impressive office development in the Potts Point area. Check out this promo piece that was produced and designed to be distributed via email. This strategy helps generate direct sales leads from the developer’s target audience with a strong call to action delivered in a way that is very captivating.
CENGAGE EDUSODE 1
BUSINESS STUDIES
One of the leading providers of online education, Cengage, approached us to pull together a series of edusodes (made-for-Internet educational videos) and webisodes (made-for-Internet entertainment episodes) that would introduce the Cengage brand to their target audiences in a fun and informational way.
Since launching online, the videos have been viewed 5000 times and enquiries to Cengage have increased.

HAHN SUPER DRY SALES REEL
This is a great example of an animated graphics piece which is a style that is becoming increasingly popular due to its lower cost and overall impact. Hahn used this one internally as a hype reel, to communicate an upcoming promotion for the Super Dry beer.
WILD TURKEY
Watch as celebrities put it all on the line in a poker tournament raising money for the Shane Warne Foundation. This event is all thanks to Wild Turkey, and Texas Hold ‘Em did get a little wild and a few celebs went home with lighter wallets – all for a great cause. This film captured the night and helped further the cause of the charity.
OPTUS iPHONE LAUNCH
Storyhead, along with iPhone geek Andrew Suzuki and Intrepid Reporter Rachel Corbett headed out into the cold Sydney night to document the launch. The result is an incredible journey, taking insiders from the end of the queue to the beginning of Andrew’s life with an iPhone. Viewer’s have told us they got goosebumps at the end of the film, and one even said she cried! To see what all the fuss is about, check it out here.

King of the Jungle. What more can we say? This film was created for the Sales Team at Tiger Beer, in preparation for the launch of Tiger Beer on tap. Gotta love this brand!
THINK BIG MAGAZINE
Think Big is a brand new magazine in the personal development space, and this video helped launch it in April this year.
T’was a great party, made all the better by our fabulous host ‘David Watt’ (as in ‘What the hell’s going on in here!!??’) and the fantastic, witty, insightful and thoroughly charismatic guests.

THE MAKING OF THE AUSTRALIAN SWIM TEAM ANTHEM
Storyhead camped out at the New South Wales Institute of Sport with Olympians bound for Beijing as they composed their team song. With help from ARIA Award Winner Adam Thompson, the swimmer’s wrote, composed and voiced an anthem Australians everywhere can be proud of. It’s so top secret that we can’t even put the music video up yet! But here is the Channel Nine coverage so far. If you are having trouble viewing it here, check it out on YouTube.
AUSTRALIAN OLYMPIC SWIM TEAM MUSIC VIDEO
After weeks of waiting, compiling, editing and re-editing, the final and complete version of the Australian Swim Team Anthem is here. Storyhead worked day and night, shooting the entire saga as the team came together for the team-building exercise, to create their own team song. Here is the final music video launched on Channel Seven on day two of the Olympic Games.
